Abstract: The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was not limited just to health emergencies but had engulfed all spheres of life in a very short span of time. The governments across countries imposed stringent rules to control the spread of the virus and minimize casualties. This was followed by sudden lockdowns, of varying duration and in some cases for up to a couple of months, that not only brought life to a standstill but also created a sense of panic and anxiety among people. It crippled several economies, corroded businesses and disrupted the organizational structure of various industries. The education sector was no exception. However, the silver lining in such tumultuous times was the discovery of the massive potential of information technology to connect people, facilitate remote handling of businesses and impart education. The emergence of digital platforms provided a dynamic solution to the challenges thrown by the pandemic. Soon all sectors, including education, adopted technology as a partner in their struggle to achieve normalcy. These platforms proved to be effective not only during COVID-19 but also in a non-pandemic environment. This brought about a perspective shift that replaced the pandemic gloom with renewed vitality and allowed people to look beyond the ongoing crisis.
