Abstract: Durable goods are those that do not wear out quickly and provide higher utility over time. Examples of consumer durable goods include electronic equipment, home furnishings, photographic equipment, leisure equipment and kitchen appliances. Durable goods can further be classified as either white goods, such as refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners or brown goods such as mixers, cooking ranges and microwaves or consumer electronics such as mobile phones, televisions and DVD players etc.
