Following options were found to be suitable to distribute the low volume products : Combining with other company’s products ,combining with the products from Jalgaon and Poona , sending by part-loads ,having a central godown at Jalgaon and having a regional distribution system. Of these only the last three were found to be feasible. Part-loads are useful only for very low volumes; Cost calculatlons show that the Jalgaon option is less costlier than the RC option by Rs. 5.5 lakh. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/17060 |
