Abstract: The internship at Societe Generale's HR department gave me the best insight into the HR function and their duties. I started my internship with preparing a communication design for the employee referral program for the company. Then I was briefed about the group and HR policies. Along with the main project of doing a pilot survey on the HR ebst practices followed in Banking and financial sector, I also did couple of other tasks which included; preparing the communication designs for the newly setup global HR help line for the company, Training calendar for the employees, a program called the Talents for Tomorrow, HR market watch Jan, Feb, Mar and April issues to give a glimpse of the HR trends in India to the global HR team, to develop a . new Library Management System with Dewey classification, to develop proposals for Balanced Scorecard system in the organization.
