Abstract: Steel is one of the most important raw materials for many industries. The process of creating steel from iron ore and/or scrap is known as steelmaking or steel manufacturing. In order to manufacture different grades of steel, alloying elements like manganese, nickel, chromium, carbon, and vanadium are added to the iron after impurities like nitrogen, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and excess carbon (the most important impurity) are removed from the iron used in the process.
