Abstract: The objectives of this study to build a model which can predict the bidding price of Indian Premier League players in the auction using statistical methods like Multiple Regression Analysis and Factor Analysis. The Base price (B) of the players and Selling price (S) have significantly higher values than the rest of the variables taken for the analysis, hence an assumption is made to take the square root of the difference between the difference between S and B, the square root transformation helps to maintain uniformity between the variables.
