Abstract: The propensity of human to make connections based on social similarities also known as homophily has been well documented in social sciences. Vissa (2010) identifies these inclinations to form ties with similar other due to two reasons: • The similarity improves the likelihood of creating a relationship that works due to trust that develops due to similarities in race, gender, ethnic backgrounds, etc. • Ease of communication due to common vocabulary, attitudes and world views
