Abstract: While co-operatives have had a significant impact in the way farmers have approached their respective cultivations, these co-operatives continue to be challenged in many ways. In these two case studies we look at two specific issues: a) when two crops with very different financial models are grown together, how do prepare for swings in the prices of one or the other or both b) once the co-operative is working fine, how do you grow the value chain to enhance the business/margins
