Abstract: ABC Bank Ltd is an Indian retail bank operating in the private sector. It was formed by a joint venture between a global financial institution and an Indian bank. The global financial institution has the control of management with a 44% stake.The bank has 6000+ employees and approximately 480 branches across the country. The bank has an aggregate business of INR 44,372 Crores and net profit of INR 242 Crores (March 2010). The internal control system of the Bank is reinforced through three lines of defense i.e. Business Owners, Risk Management (credit, operational, market risk) and Internal Audit.
