Abstract: We met the entrepreneur, Mrs. Vellachi, and were informed of her business idea on LED lights. We were given a brief description of the technology involved in LED lights as well as an idea of its basic existence in India. We were at this point aware of some competition in the market and were asked to specifically find a niche segment that could be targeted. The entrepreneur was well aware of the growing competitiveness of the industry, and did not want to fall into a “me too” product. We were also told that manufacturing and LED lamp may be very expensive therefore we could consider outsourcing the manufacturing process to the several LED manufacturers in India.
