Title: | Entrepreneurs abroad in Bangalore | Authors: | Hazlehurst, Waring Mikell Hultman, Hanna |
Keywords: | Entrepreneurship | Issue Date: | 2014 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_CCS_P14_087 | Abstract: | After countless hours of transcribing interviews and riding around in autorickshaws, Hanna Hultman and Mikell Hazlehurst were able to piece together why someone would choose to leave their home country in order to start a business in Bangalore, India. On the surface, cheap living and the abundance of affordable talent seemed to be attractive draws for these expatriates. Another advantage could be the lack of a language barrier. Either way, becoming an entrepreneur is a risky endeavor no matter where you are. It takes courage, persistence, time and money that most people simply aren’t willing to commit. Venturing abroad to set up shop adds a whole new twist, and we were impressed to hear what these brave souls had to say. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/20427 |
