Abstract: The primary objective of the study is to scrutinize the process for the positive effects it claims. In its fundamental form, NREGA is implemented to ensure employment in rural sector along with a focus on building infrastructure. So in a way it is more like investing in infrastructure (Capital expenditure) which comes by the means of tackling unemployment.
