Abstract: The National Policy in Urban Street Vendors intends to bring a regulated and structured environment in this area of Urban Economy. The study aims at evaluating the policy for potential deviations from the actual scenarios. The purpose of the study is to assess the situation in an actual market scenario of the aforementioned sort to come to a conclusion regarding the validity of the framework in the policy. The objective of the project is to study the economic behaviour of the factors involved in the creation of mobile urban market at Gandhi Bazaar in Bangalore and to correlate various aspects narrated in The National Policy on Urban Street Vendors 2009 to those prevalent in the real market at the stipulated place.
