Abstract: This operation simulation game is a brain child of Prof Jishnu Hazra and us. The vision of this initiative is to make IIM Bangalore, self sustainable in terms of educational games. Learning, is fun with educational games. These games help fortify theritical concepts and give freedom to exercise to students to apply them in a controlled environment. The focus of this study is to develop a working game in operations field, and launch the first module encompassing concepts of pricing under probabilistic demand. This scenario can be observed under Indian retail industry, namely mobiles, apparels, retail shop dicount planning etc. Our main motivation behind doing this project lies in our strong interest and know-how of technical aspects of designing an interactive game. We have earlier developed applications on android platform and our experience with the simulation games during our courses in term I & II inspires us more in doing this project. We believe this type of simulation offer much more understanding of the theory and helps learning beyond book knowledge. We have narrowed down our area specific to operation management in supply chain management but we want to keep our scope open for any other topic in operations management.
