Abstract: Digital platforms are transforming almost every industry today and slowly becoming mainstream business models. Digital platforms dominate various markets through disruption to create a huge business scale, and they deliver compelling customer experiences to all sides of the platforms. They also offer new forms of value creation and innovation. As software applications are the base platforms in these systems, software product managers play a crucial role in defining product strategies and the deployment of innovative solutions through product features. In 2019, over 18% of all start-ups in India were leveraging deep technology in their digital platforms (~over 1,600 companies). This number constituted only 8% of start-ups incepted in 2014. Share of digital platforms in start-up ecosystem & their dependence on deep technologies is increasing, so their study from software product development perspective will lead to valuable insights. We have studied how various digital platforms are built over the product's life through this project. We have also explored the latest product strategies implemented by software development teams in the field of digital platforms to lead the market in respective industry segments.
