Abstract: XYZSOLAR Ltd.(name changed) is a leading solar panel and solar power products manufacturer of India. It is a pioneer in the Indian power sector and is a leader in technology development and adoption, aimed at providing best business value to all its stakeholders. XYZSOLAR provides complete EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) solutions for large commercial Megawatt-scale solar power plants and Kilowatt-scale solar plants for Residential and SME segment customers. It also provides customized solar solutions to various sectors such as railways, textiles, aviation etc. Various products and services which are provided by XYZSOLAR are Rooftop Solutions for Residential, Commercial and Institutional customers, Solar water pumps and Customized Solar Microgrids and Solar RO Systems. The demand for residential rooftops and solar water pumps is expected to increase considerably in the coming years. This segment is expected to be a major part in the solar industry in the future. Keeping this in mind XYZSOLAR aims to increase its revenue from these segments five-fold in next five years. However, to cater to such an increase in demand, there is a need for a robust and a responsive supply chain. Also, catering to such a segment requires supply chain to be able to handle last mile deliveries to customer residences at a very fast pace. The objective of this project is to come is to evaluate possible options and suggest recommendations in developing a B2C supply chain which can handle last mile deliveries for residential rooftops and solar water pumps and reduce the delivery lead times, while being economically feasible and strategically viable.
