Abstract: Objective of the project is to build a statistically significant model that determines the factors on which the warranty expense can be predicted. The model would use TVS Motors product TVS Jupiter’s past data on the buyers/suppliers etc to predict the reasons of incurring warranty expense. Warranty data is one of the most important data to determine the quality and reliability of the product performance as well. Thus, understanding and modelling of warranty claims can result in a lot of business implications for a company. It can help them make accurate profitability predictions, understand product performance, and also smoothen the operational issues associated therewith. Therefore, the objective of the report is: 1. To reduce TVS Motors warranty claim cost/ frequency of warranty claims. 2. Identify major causes/ reasons for failures (product related/external environment related). 3. Provide solution/ ways to resolve the reasons for failure.
