Abstract: The objectives of the project have been divided into two major categories: 1) Competitiveness of Indian Engineering Services Sector and projections for 2020. 1.1) Study the current engineering services scenario in India. 1.2) Projections of the competitive scenario in the Indian engineering services sector in 2020. 1.3) Study and comparisons of the ES sector globally – At least top 5 countries. 1.4) Study the macro economic scenario impacting the ES sector globally and build an analytical framework model to depict the competitive scenario ES sector. 2) Capability Mapping of India Suppliers. 2.1) Prepare an analytical model to assess the supplier capability for ER&D industry. 2.2) Prepare a RFI with a set of relevant questions that can be sent to the suppliers and the inputs. from the same can be used in the analytical model prepared in the previous step.
