This paper discusses the intervention of Mindfulness Practices on core values of an individual governing ethical decision making. Scope of this paper is to list and broadly study the challenges being faced in ethical decision making, challenges to follow Ethical standards in organizations with focus on Indian bureaucratic organizations. We will study the literature on traditional and contemporary approach to Ethical decision making, study the background on various approaches that were followed and changing trends in approaches to ensure individuals follow prescribed ethical standards in making decisions. This paper will also discuss Mindfulness-based interventions on individuals and how these interventions will help individuals personally and in turn organizations to ensure ethical standards are being followed. In doing so the paper will introduce the concept of Mindfulness, present its definition and types of approaches to follow Mindfulness regularly. Finally, the study will try to establish a plausible relationship between people practicing mindfulness regularly and as a benefit of mindfulness intervention the individual’s process of decision making will be more logical, consensus-based and ethical.
