Abstract: A major concern for all the FMCG companies is to manage their stocks at the retail end.FMCG companies spend a lot of money in distribution and supply chain management.Through this project, we aim to study the prevailing distribution system and the areaswhich can be improved by the ways of implementation of technology at various ends. The study provides an implementable solution. The model suggested links the FMCGcompanies to the retail end. Analysis for the sustainability of the model has been made. Our scope on the other hand includes exploring the possibility of direct connectivitybetween the FMCG companies and the retail end for increasing the penetrationpossibilities and becoming a one stop analytical support system for all FMCG companies.Instantaneous tracking and recording of the Point-of-sales data at the retail end isrendered possible by such a project. The project has been planned to evolve as per the following enumeration-* Study of present distribution mechanism of two FMCG companies.* Systemization of the distribution channel to make the distribution processefficient and proposal of an alternate model.* Analysis of the retail end data for the purpose of usefulness to the FMCGcompanies.
