Abstract: The objective of this project is to look at the various transaction costs incurred by foreign corporations while setting up their business in India and compare these costs with China. The project also aims to provide reasons for the differences in these costs in the two countries and recommends important considerations to foreign firms while entering these markets. The project does not intent to rank the countries or to give monetary value to the transaction costs in various stages.
