It isdivided into ten Sections. Section one first analyses the power and renewable sectors in India, andprovides not only the different scenarios for the renewable energy mix of 40 GW which the Indiangovernment has to reach by 2022 but also an estimate for the yearly amount of subsidy required.Section two and three describe the solar and wind energy sectors respectively, including theirregulations. Moreover, the former summarizes the National Solar Mission (JNNSM) plan which isvery important in the solar energy sector. Afterwards, section five covers another crucial aspect inthe solar energy sector: the Land Acquisition Bill. At this point, Section six introduces the EuropeanInvestment Bank1(EIB) and its lending operations in India across the energy sector. Mostimportantly, Section seven analyses the industry attractiveness of both solar and wind power and,then, Section eight the financing of power projects. Finally, Section nine discusses some wind powerprojects currently in place across India, and Section ten concludes with some key observations.
