Abstract: The objective of this study was to assess the potential for financing of medium scale plants, hotels, and hospitals as to identify the segments which could be targeted for assets financing and an overall marketing strategy could be developed for these organisations. It was observed that a very few industrialists are aware that SRFF can provide finance for assets other than automobiles. Engineering goods exporters have large funding requirements for plant and machinery whereas carpet and garment exporters require funds for automobiles and office equipment. Furniture, interior decor, kitchen equipment and club equipment can be funded in hotels. There is a lot of scope for funding medical equipment and office equipment in hospitals. It is recommended that apart from targeting the above organisations, an advertising campaign should be launched to improve the awareness level about SRFF operations among the target segments. This can be achieved through sending mailers to the target customers. Hotels and hospitals have cash surplus during winters and thus should be targeted for deposits during these months. carpet and garment exporters need working capital during winters and should be targeted for the same.
