In 1944, the Engineering Construction Corporation (ECC) was incorporated, and L&T got associated with the earth moving equipment giant Caterpillar. Its large, diversified activities span an impressive spectrum of products and services, each highly reputed in its own field for sophistication and reliability. In a cover article of Business world (12-25 August 1992) about India’s ten most respected companies, based on a poll conducted by MARG, L & T was adjudged the second most respected company in the overall rating, and the first in the field of General Engineering. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/17192 |
