Abstract: Technical analysis is a part of investment analysis; This method relies on past trends of prices and volumes to predict future price trends. Complementary to fundamental analysis, this method is used to arrive at the timing decisions, i.e., when to buy and sell. This project aims at validating, the efficiency of technical analysis in the Indian stock market environment. This work chose a group of scrips having, high market capitalisation and from diversified industries. The results of the validation process are presented in the end.
