Abstract: My work during the course of my internship was split into two parts. I was given a standalone project and apart from that, I kept on receiving tasks related to the deals going on in the team to support them. The work received was at par with the work done by analysts in the team. I got to work on a live deal that was going on in the resources team. This gave me a first hand exposure to how work is done in an investment bank. I was closely involved in the pitching process for both domestic (India) and cross-border acquisitions in this space. I had to develop an understanding of the sector as a whole, as well as specific assets that were used for pitching. Apart from this, I also received some work from other verticals also. This gave me an exposure to other sectors also and increased my understanding of the overall environment of an investment bank.
