Abstract: My internship was at Altisource Business Solutions Pvt Ltd. The office building was based out of Salarpuria Adonis, Kolar Road. Bangalore and I did my internship under the guidance of Shekar Sivasubramanian, Chief Operating Officer of Mortgage Services. My internship started on 5th April, 2010 and I was told to report at Salarpuria Arena building of the company. The first day was orientation program and then I started to work at Salarpuria Adonis premise. Since the company is working in very niche area, I was told to spend some days to understand the business of the company. Shekar enabled me to understand the business by explaining the critical aspects of the business. I was assigned a project to make business plan with Evan Kramer, Vice President of Altisource Homes (ASH) department. It involves understanding the new business and then creating the business model which formulate the relation between web based traffic, marketing expenditure, total properties listed on the websites and revenue. Mter finishing the model, I was assigned three projects. The frrst project was to make revenue forecast model for Property Preservation and Inspection (PPI) department with Tara Williams, Vice President of PPI department. Second project was to make business model for Property Title Services (PTS) department with the help of Prasun Chakraborty, Director of PTS and Sanket Dantara, Practice Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. This business model is to be made to reflect the income statements and cost structures of the 18 sub-departments of the PTS department based on volumes, employees and supe"rvisors structure. The third project involved describing the service level agreement (SLA) of different divisions and streamlining the reporting of these service level agreements according to the statement of work and other industry standards. This involves working with VicePresident of different divisions. The internship ended on 28th May, 2010 after 8 weeks and was a new experience of working with management professionals which would defmitely helpful in future.
