Abstract: My internship at Microsoft has been a rigorous yet rewarding learning experience. I single-handedly carried out the Impact Analysis of Premier support services and quantified its impact on Microsoft as well as Customers across all segments and regions in India. Though initially the project objectives seemed ambiguous, it was soon streamlined and set on track with the help of both my Mentor and Manager. The fact that my project addresses a dire business need for Services makes its outcome a true value-add to Microsoft and also serves as an incentive to work for. In the absence of my Manager, much needed help was offered by my mentor who also got me introduced to the entire team. I had the chance to interact one-on-one with every team member, which accentuated the depth of my understanding of the Services Business model. Developing a good rapport with the team in a rather short time span helped avert bottle-necks in executing the project. The project being a mix of strategic and creative analytical marketing seamlessly aligns with my interests. The outcome of my project was deemed highly successful, which I largely attribute to the technical support extended by Mentor and Manager.
