The lord is the chief guest

Abstract

Our scriptures inform us that hospitality to a guest is a divine virtue. Treat the guest as you would treat God if He were to visit you. In fact, keep your house in such a way that God is tempted to enter when you call upon Him. This is the advice our scriptures give us. Our forefathers did not consume food until guests were fed. Sri Hanumat Kali Vara Prasad used to say that life becomes sublime when the Lord decides to visit your house. The one quality that is essential for that to happen is purity of mind. Such purity invariably attracts the Lord and He even comes uninvited.
