Abstract: Guru Poornima is the most sacred day in the traditions of Sanatana Dharma. The seeker spends the day in contemplation of the lotus feet of his or her Guru. It is a day of thanksgiving. The day should be spent when are where possible in the company of your Guru. On this day, devotees get up early in the morning and after having their bath, they prostrate to the lotus feet of their Guru and offer him dakshina.
