Abstract: As European exchange students in IIMB, we were very interested in studying the Indian perception of women in the society. Our studies being based on business and management, we wanted to better understand the world of women in the corporate world. The female leadership representing the degree of integration of women into business and staying in Bangalore, it seemed adequate to analyze women leadership in a booming Information Technology sector. Through our surveys and interviews we wanted to understand the barriers and challenges faced by women in the corporate world. Hence, what the advantages are for companies to diversify their management teams by hiring and retaining women leaders.
