Abstract: Leadership studies have been rife in Management academics for nearly a century now. Leadership study has focused on many different areas spanning various vocations like Military, Politics, Business, Sport and Social Activism. These studies have varied in their approaches and inferences from time to time. Academics have constantly been researching the various aspects of Leadership and its effect on a community or the society at large. There are 7 distinct leadership theories1 that one can see predominantly spanning across these many years.
