It is characterised by over crowded market, fragmented industry structure, steep decline in tariffs, falling Minutes of Usage (MoU), falling Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), declining revenue growth, high network operating expense and regulatory cost. With an overall teledensity of just 76.86% (urban - 167.46%, rural – 37.52%)2 and new frontiers of growth like 3G and BWA, the industry has a long way to go. | URI: | http://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/10643 |
