Abstract: The objective of many FMCG marketers is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their marketing expenditures. The goal is often to increase sales and/or profitability. Nowadays, it is easy to get data and associated facts due to enhancement in the new state-of-art technologies. It has become possible now to address these issues efficiently and cost-effectively. The objective of this study is to understand the promotion effectiveness and profitability of a retail outlet, using the data collected for promotions and sales. The use of SAS and SPSS software has been done to analyze the data.
