Corporate Banking’s servicing model is constructed around a Relationship Manager (RM) who serves as the anchor for the relationship and coordinates with product partners (such as Payments and Cash Management (PCM), Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), Global Banking and Markets (GBM) and Insurance and Investments (INI)) to offer solutions based on the customers’ needs and complexity of the business RM daily activities consist of ‘time to market’ activities for acquiring new customers. Additionally, RMs facilitate customer servicing and credit processing activities. AssistantRelationship Managers (ARM) which are part of the RM Support Team assist him in the overall customer on-boarding and retention activity. HSBC’s internal policies and guidelines determine the process adopted by the Relationship Managers Team to service and facilitate the corporate clients. The objective of the project is to perform end-to-end mapping of the processes relevant to the Relationship Managers/Assistant Relationship Managersdaily activities, keeping in view the underlying policies, to get a holistic view of the overall business process of CMB Corp. Secondly, to review the policies and processes with the view of simplifying them so as to free RM time from back-end redundant activities. This will increase ‘time to market’ for the Relationship Managers.
