dc.description.abstractDigital rupee is a type of electronic currency that supports contactless transactions. Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is a form of legal tender issued in digital form by the central bank. The Reserve Bank of India will introduce the digital version of the Indian Rupee, known as CBDC. Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance, declared that the RBI would introduce digital currency by 2023. The digital economy is going to get strongly impacted by the digital rupee and this will result in currency management that is more effective and inexpensive.
