dc.description.abstract | In last thirty years, India has shown tremendous progress in economic sector. However, this growth hasn't translated to the India's Health Sector. According to overall heath index by UN General Assemb ly, India ranked 143 out of 188 countries. India spends less than 5% of its GOP as compared to world average - 10%. As a result, public health infrastructure simply is not able to meet the need of 1.3 billion population [1). Moreover, a huge disparity is present in medical services between the urban and the rural, with over 80% doctors, 75% dispensaries and 60% hospital located in the urban region. Indian government over the years have started various initiatives to bridge the gap. The emergence of technology has also open a world of new possibilities like Telemedicine, electronic health record using cloud computing, wireless technologies, different sensors. | |
