USA, China has seen a rapid increase in the volume of research published on Al applications, with both academia and corporates willing to invest funds into Al research. There is also a significant increase in the number of patents being filed on Al applications in India, as shown by a recent report from NASSCOM [1]. The project aims to build upon the NASSCOM report to analyse the spectrum of Al-focused patents being filed in India and extract information to generate key insights into trends observed within India. The analysis will include, but not be limited to, the type of patents, their scope and location spread, companies filing them, etc. Based on the insights, comparative analysis between India, the US, China shall enable us to identify the sources of competitive advantages for India as it expands its footprint within Al applications.
