India's healthcare infrastructure: opportunities and challenges

Abstract

‘Good Health and Well Being’ is an important pillar of sustajggable development goals set by the United Nations. The official statement of this pillar of SDGs is: "To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”. In the same spirit — nations across the globe have tried to deliver quality healthcare to their citizens by investing in healthcare infrastructure & experimenting with diverse models to achieve universal health coverage. In this report — we wish to examine India’s status in delivering quality healthcare to citizens from the lens of various government interventions and impending opportunities the healthcare industry has to offer.
