This study examines how able-bodied soldiers cope with an identity as well as career change when they face life changing trauma. These are individuals who have lost limbs, eyesight, or hearing as a result of war related injuries and are currently undergoing training in some trade to enter civilian life. This is the main research question: How do individuals resolve work identity contradictions when faced with life changing trauma?
