Dainik Bhaskar faces the challenge of likely decline in readership in future as there is a shift of consumers reading physical paper to reading it online. On one hand the group has to invest significant resources to build the online web properties on the other hand it is facing the challenge of getting return on investment in the short run. Keeping an eye on the future the group is creating content and making an effort to attract more and more visitors to its web properties. The high reach of the web properties will hopefully attract advertisers who would be willing to pay a premium for high reach and quality audience. The case will discuss the issues and challenges facing print media and the transition from print to online.
