Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts (TKAP) manufactures auto parts for Toyota vehicles. In this paper, we have looked at ways to reduce their logistics’ emissions. This involved analysis of different alternative fuels, of which CNG was chosen, based on emissions’ reduction and availability. A comprehensive comparison of CNG and existing diesel commercial vehicles was carried out through interactions with executives and dealers from Tata Motors and Volvo Eicher. Possible challenges to CNG adoption were identified as well. Other levers using technology have also been explored.
