The study looks at the individual's Self-Reported Health (SRH) and the factors that influence it. Health markers, such as diseases, health problems, functional limits, healthcare access and utilisation, and family and social networks, are among the broad categories of factors considered. The study incorporates 3 from the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI) Main Wave 1 2017-18, which includes 71,238 people. The findings imply that difficulties in daily activities such as walking 100 yards, carrying a5 kilo weight, or trouble completing labour around the house or garden led to self-reported poor health status. Furthermore, important characteristics differ by gender; for example, poor distant vision is a larger predictor of poor self-reported health in females than in males.
