The concept of a healthcare information exchange is not entirely new. There have been other initiatives in this space such as Microsoft’s Health Vault and other similar portals. However, we believe NexGen is unique because where its predecessors were seen as an attempt to replace existing players in the ecosystem, NexGen is only complementary; it only aims to become a part of the ecosystem, enlarging the pie for all. Moreover, NexGen is targeted at a specific consumer group, health tourists, and we believe that is a key reason why it will work better than others before it.
