Abstract: The objective of this CCS Project is to analyze the privacy issues involved in using smart gadgets such as healthcare and lifestyle gadgets. There is no doubt there are a lot of benefits of using such devices but the question is what is the cost that we are paying, more specifically what is the privacy cost. The first step of this CCS project is to try to define what privacy means by analyzing the laws that are implemented in India and taking inspiration from other technologically advanced countries. Once this is done we delve deeper into the possible future impact of such security issues in the society, the algorithm behind the running of these IOTs and the measures being taken by the companies to protect their customer's private data
