Abstract: This study aims to study the literature available for the notion of failed leadership. Through extensive secondary research, it is established that the notion of failed leadership has not be explored properly in theory. The study then goes on to consolidate all the leadership theories explored by theorists over time to develop a Value Chakra framework to define what makes a leader successful. The value chakra framework divides the various traits talked about in various theirs across three levels to show that it is basically a set of few core values which ultimately impact of result in all other traits and makes a leader successful. By conjecture, it is then hypothesized that absence of these core values may lead to leadership failure. The same is then proved using some example of real-life failed leaders. Finally, it is established with the help of the value chakra framework and real-life examples that a lack of true inner-self can lead to failure of leadership.
