The service provider owns the equipment and is responsiblefor housing, running and maintaining it. The client typically pays on a per-use basis.About Intel Hybrid Cloud Technology and AppUp (SMB):Intel Hybrid cloud provides the twin benefits of cloud computing and at the sametime physical ownership of data. Physical ownership of data is achieved by putting aserver on the company premises. The server is managed by a 3rd party Managed ServiceProvider who controls the server and the apps available on it as SaaS. AppUp for Smalland Medium Businesses is the branding used for this service that is provided to thecustomers. It also includes elements of IaaS to ensure that the service solution is able toscale up to increased needs as the customer business grows. (Intel Corporation).Intel AppUp for SMB which is based on Intel’s Hybrid cloud is already available in theUnited States. There are plans to roll out the same in Brazil in 2013. As part of this CCSwe will attempt to study the current product offering, markets and expansion plans.
