Based on the study and development of equity commodity strategies, it can be seen that there is an opportunity to exploit Equity Commodity hybrids. However, the strategy is not “one size fits all”. Each “equity – commodity” pair has to be studied independently. Significant importance has to be given to graphical patterns in the stock prices & the commodity prices and suitable models have to be developed.
