Core Idea: The Core idea of the business is to establish an online platform for waste exchange between waste producing and consuming entities. The aim of the Waste Exchange Platform is to develop a symbiotic relationship among the waste producing and consuming entities. The drive behind our plan is the concept of 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) together with the mission to accomplish minimal waste. We wish to operate with the 2nd “R” i.e. “Reuse”. Waste Junction (Company Name) will create a win – win proposition for all stakeholders. Movement: After developing an expertise in Bangalore in the first year; the primary objective will be to quickly replicate the model in five cities by the end of third year. Fourth year focus will be to expand in Industrial waste. Fifth year focus strategy will be introduce waste audit and consultancy services and consolidating current market through increased marketing. After diversifying into industrial waste, Waste Junction will embark on a bigger role of collaborating with industry to provide a complete waste solution. Monetization: Waste Junction is estimated to grow from estimated revenues of INR 8.7 CRORES at the end of year 1 to INR 43.4 CR. at the end of Year 3. The EBITDA is projected to increase from INR 5.9 CR. at the end of Year 1 to INR 31.5 CR. at the end of Year 3. The business will need an initial corpus of INR 7 CR. which will be managed through either VC funding or bank loan. The business will generate profits by the end of first year itself and will breakeven by the end of third year. Marketability: The idea is to take 5% of the overall transaction deal value as Waste Junction’s Share on a pay-per-deal basis. In order to understand financials, field visits were done in Bangalore to estimate waste plastic, metal, paper and glass market. Estimated market sizes are INR 292 Cr., INR 2944 Cr., INR 95.6 Cr. and INR 140.6 Cr. respectively.
