dc.description.abstractThe Indian Wellness and Spa market is estimated at Rs11,000 crores and growing at 25-30 per cent per annum, according to an audit report by Ernst & Youngi. The need of having a healthy, strong body and a sound mind has made various kinds of wellness products and services an important part of people's lives. Aerobics, yoga, spa treatments, fitness training, medical systems such as Ayurveda, naturopathy, beauty therapy, slimming and nutrition, etc have become the talk of today like never before. Many entrepreneurs have entered the industry due to this high demand, making innovations and in turn bringing about major changes in the industry. There has been a major change in lifestyle as the disposable income rises, the country is seeing the need to improve personality by staying in shape. A new definition of beauty is emerging and most of the western concepts of health and fitness are fast gaining acceptance.ii. This study would help to understand the Wellness Sector. It would also focus on the growth and expansion strategies for a Wellness Sector Start-ups.
